SCHIAPARELLI: HAUTE COUTURE GP DEMI-PARURE FAUX TURQUOISE CABS AQUA AB CRYSTALS.

For your consideration, an Opulent and absolutely beautiful haute couture vintage set by iconic mogul fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli. Both earrings are signed "Schiaparelli" on the clip backs. The brooch is not signed. This set is one of the most well-known designs by Schiaparelli and is. So the pieces usually fetch a handsome price. Features round and marquise "tablet" shaped turquoise glass cabochons and AB blue round cut crystals. The jewels of the earrings and brooch are mounted in a cluster in the center of the oval shaped disc of the earrings and rectangular shaped disc of the brooch. The stones are held in place by small prongs. The clusters are riveted to the base of the dish shaped discs. The earrings fasten with paddle shaped clip backs. The construction of all pieces in this set is solid and the finish is smooth and exquisite. The pieces are all are fairly heavy. Each earring weighs 12 grams. The brooch weighs 26 grams. Brooch 1 ½ x 1 ½" x ½" in thickness: Earrings 1 ½" x 1" x in thickness. Overall condition is excellent for their age. The stones are in excellent condition no chips or cracks. The gold plated metal is clean, and fairly shiny. I have not noticed any patina on any piece, however, there is a small amount of surface wear to the gold plating on the underside.

It is not distracting or unsightly and is consistent with age. These will clean up nicely if done professionally, however, in their current condition, they are still exquisitely beautiful. The earrings fit snug with a bit of pinch. The pin of the brooch is fairly straight, sharp, sturdy and fits into the roll over latch which fastens securely.

This wonderful vintage iconic earrings and brooch by Schiaparelli which will accessorize well with almost any outfit. It is part of my fashion designer accessory and vintage jewelry collection. It has been in storage for years and may need slight polishing. PLEASE REMEMBER, THAT MOST VINTAGE PIECES ARE FRAGILE DUE TO AGE and should be gently worn and handled with care. Most of the items I sell are vintage, and/or they are pre-owned, most are not new.
